Peter sold Chillspeed as a going concern in November 1997 to Mr Geoffrey Lazell. With the benefit of new technology and dynamic management, Geoff moulded this well established firm into an even more efficient express delivery service, whilst still maintaining the high level of personal care its customers had come to rely on. Incorporating the business as Chillspeed Ltd in late 2012, Geoff sold the by now highly successful company on to Mr Des Smith and Mr Stuart Martin in 2013.
Supported by a dedicated team of highly motivated drivers, Des and Stuart are determined to follow the fine example of their predecessors and drive Chillspeed Ltd even further forward into the world of temperature-controlled logistics. Although admittedly not one of the biggest in the business, the company remains justifiably proud of its hard-won reputation for still being one of the best.
UK Service
Located in the heart of East Anglia, Chillspeed Ltd already serves many of the major food producers, manufacturers and processors in the area and often has spare load capacity to and from many parts of the country.
With regularly and scrupulously maintained fully refrigerated ATP class ‘C’ vans, courteous and conscientious drivers and a 24-hour availability, Chillspeed Ltd offers a competitive and cost-effective ‘fast-track’ service. Our weight capacity is 1,200 kgs (2,640 lbs) and we can carry up to 3 standard (or 4 Euro) pallets. The larger vehicles are equipped with 240v overnight standby facilities and we can very often offer competitive ‘groupage’ rates to and from many parts of the UK mainland. Smaller vehicles, used mainly for sample deliveries have capacities of up to 865 kgs (1,900 lbs) and will carry 1 standard (or Euro) pallet. Our delivery service to Northern Ireland is offered on a ‘dedicated vehicle’ basis only. Comprehensive “Goods in Transit” insurance cover up to £10,000 on any one vehicle applies to all UK deliveries. Full details are available on request.
European Service
Chillspeed Ltd has considerable experience in most northern European countries, where we offer a ‘dedicated vehicle’ express delivery service for high-value food products and pharmaceuticals. “Goods in Transit” insurance cover up to £250,000 is provided under CMR regulations.
Value-added Service
Chillspeed is proud to announce that all our vehicle are now fitted with the latest vehicle tracking systems. This enables us to offer customers up to date and accurate information on their deliveries as well as ensuring the drivers are aware of any potential delays or issues on their routes.
Automatic in cab temperature recording is performed on an on-going basis throughout the journey and a print-out is available if required.
